Noella Foundation’s Life After School Summit 2024 Empowers 500 Final-Year Students In Lagos

The Noella Foundation recently hosted the Life After School Summit (LAS24) at the Landmark Event Centre in Lagos, which empowered over 500 final-year students from various institutions across Lagos State.

The event featured three interactive workshops focused on critical career skills which included Personal Branding and Navigating Job Search, CV Writing & Review, and a professional headshot session, which gave the students valuable insights and practical tools to ease their transition into the job market.

A panel of accomplished professionals, including Arc. Olufumilayo Gbemudu, Shehu Tijani Abdullahi, and Japheth Omojuwa, shared career advice and insights on job market success, stressing the importance of relevant certifications, continuous learning, and a growth mindset.

Co-founder of The Noella Foundation, Mrs. Layal Jade Tinubu, opened the summit, stating, “At The Noella Foundation, we are committed to preparing our youth for a bright and successful future. The Life After School Summit is our way of providing students with the tools they need to confidently transition into the workforce and pursue their career goals.”

The summit also included special appearances by the Director General of SMEDAN, Charles Odii, Presidential Advisor Hon. Sunday Asefon, and Afrobeats star Davido, inspiring students with motivational addresses.

Chairman and co-founder Mr. Seyi Tinubu highlighted the foundation’s mission to equip Nigerian youth with globally competitive skills. “Our aim is to create an environment where our students and youths are able to learn the skills that will make them compete anywhere in the world,” he stated.

Following LAS24, The Noella Foundation plans to further support participants through an upcoming Life After School Bootcamp for 240 selected students, offering in-depth career development training to further prepare them for their future roles.
