Joe Ajaero, President of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), has been arrested by operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS).
Ajaero was apprehended on Monday, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja as he was preparing to board a flight to the United Kingdom for an official assignment.
The reasons behind his detention have not been officially disclosed and the incident has raised questions and concerns within labour circles and among the public.
