Kola Adesina, the Executive Director, Sahara Group says Nigerians will not see the “el dorado” they desire to see in the electricity sector until the defect in pricing electricity is cured. According to him, it’s mission impossible if the price of electricity cannot cover the cost of providing electricity.
Mr Adesina who is also the Chairman, Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company stated this on Monday when he featured on ARISE News and noted that the major problem being faced by the distribution company is the fact that there is no concomitant growth between the country’s population and the electricity infrastructure.
The energy expert also said a steady growth of Nigeria’s population as well as the stagnancy in the country’s electricity infrastructural development, has ensured the West African country continues to suffer poor electricity supply.
