Ajuri Ngelale, an aide to Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has accused citizens of painting every action of the Nigerian leader with an “ethnic brush”.
Mr Ngelale, a Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Public Affairs on Tuesday told ARISE News that Nigerians are quick to say there’s an ethnic agenda when projects are being constructed in the northern region of the country, but keep mute when similar projects are being constructed in the south.
According to him, he finds the actions of Nigerians suspicious that whatever President Buhari does whether it’s in the interest of the nation or not they tend to paint it with an ethnic brush but when he does something for a part of the country he’s not from, everybody keeps quiet.
