Monarchs representing the six geopolitical zones of Nigeria, under the umbrella of the National Council of Traditional Rulers of Nigeria (NCTRN), have expressed their loyalty and support for President Bola Tinubu.
In what they describe as a courtesy visit to mark his assumption of office, The Sultan of Sokoto Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III and the Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi who are both co- chairmen of the council pledged their commitment to foster national development.
In his introductory remarks, The Ooni of ife, congratulated President Tinubu on a promising start and commended the tough decisions taken by his administration, assuring that they would yield long-term benefits for the Nigerian people.
Oba Ogunwusi also urged the President to leverage the wisdom and influence of traditional rulers, particularly in addressing the security challenges faced by the country.
The meeting had in attendance Vice President Kashim Shettima and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Goerge Akume.
