Nigeria: Three Policeman Killed as Former Central Bank Governor Soludo Escapes Bloody Attack

A former Governor of Nigeria’s Central Bank, Charles Soludo on Wednesday escaped a bloody attack when gunmen stormed his community town hall where he was having an interactive session with members of the community.
While Mr Soludo escaped unhurt, three policemen were shot dead, and the Anambra State Commissioner for Public Utilities was abducted.
He was said to be giving a lecture to about a thousand youths and had spoken for about forty-five minutes when gunshots where heard outside the civic hall in his hometown of Isuofia in Anambra state, where he was giving the lecture. Then a stampede ensued.
