Nigeria Repatriates 190 Citizens from UAE

Nigeria’s Federal Government has repatriated 190 citizens from UAE, urging them to uphold national values and behave responsibly upon return.

The Federal Government has successfully repatriated 190 Nigerians from the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The returnees arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, early on Tuesday morning.

The repatriation process was overseen by a combined team of government officials, led by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

On arrival, the returnees were profiled and documented by the relevant agencies. They were also sensitised on the importance of maintaining decorum and responsibility as they reintegrate into Nigerian society.

In a press statement, the Zonal Director of NEMA North Central, Bashir Idris Garga, emphasised the government’s expectations as he said, “The Federal Government urges all Nigerians, wherever they may be, to act as exemplary ambassadors of their country, upholding the fundamental values of patriotism, rule of law, decency, and integrity.”
