All services are within the Ministry of Interior.

The promotion is said to be unprecedented in the annals of the ministry against its previous promotion exercises, thereby a remarkable achievements and milestone for the ministry.

The Minister of Interior, Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who was represented by the the Comptroller General of the NSCDC, Dr. Ahmed Audi at a press briefing on Friday night, gave the breakdown of the promotion in the various service as:  NIS, 4,598, NSCDC, 21,398, FFS, 1,680, NCS, 4,498.

The Minister expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu, for his concern for the welfare of Nigerian workers, noting that the 2023 promotion was indeed a departure from its previous ones because of the high number of personnel involved in the promotion exercise.

He said the promotion was triggered off by President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda mantra and the dividend of democracy of the present administration.

“This is very unprecedented. We would like to thank President Bola Tinubu for his support and concern given to the Ministry through the Minister and this is part of the dividend of democracy on the Renewed Hope Agenda drive,” he added.

Congratulating the recipients, he charged the various personel from all the services to give their best to the service of their fatherland, urging them to always think of what they can do for their country and not what their country can do for them.
