Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari will not be seeking a third term in office and is not interested in such discussions, that’s according to presidential spokesman, Garba Shehu.
According to Mr Shehu who spoke to ARISE News on Tuesday, the president is very worried that offices of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as well as police stations are being burnt in several parts of the country and described those behind the acts as anarchists.
The presidential spokesman denied suggestions that the attacks on offices of INEC could be a veiled attempt of preventing the 2023 elections which could then see President Buhari remain in office for a third term.
