The Nigeria Sovereign Investment Authority (NSIA) says the $311m which formed part of the huge funds stolen by a former Nigerian dictator Sani Abacha and returned by the US government, as well as the Island of Jersey, is yet to be spent.

Uche Orji, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the NSIA said the money is being held in the agency’s account within the Central Bank of Nigeria.
Mr Orji stated this on Tuesday when he featured on ARISE News flagship programme, The Morning Show and noted that the money will be spent in equal measures across three major projects in the country.
