The Nigeria National League (NNL) has officially released fixtures for the much-anticipated 2024/2025 season.
The league’s opening day, scheduled for November 30, 2024, promises excitement, with the star match featuring Abakaliki FC facing off against Madiba FC.
The league’s pre-season seminar, which included the fixture draw, also underscored the NNL’s commitment to enhancing league operations this season.
NNL Chairman George Aluo highlighted the rationale behind adjustments to the schedule, saying, “We are doing our best to ensure the new season is even better than the last one.”
In Conference A, Sporting Lagos will sit out with a bye on Match Day 1, while Solution FC will go head-to-head with Rovers FC. First Bank of Lagos is set to host Osun United, and Gateway FC of Abeokuta will meet Godswill Akpabio FC.
Other notable matches include Kun Khalifa of Owerri hosting Emalex of Owo, and the star match of the day between Abakaliki FC and Madiba FC.
In Conference B, Smart City will also be on bye. Meanwhile, Edel FC will clash with Abia Comets, and I472 is scheduled to host Igbado FC. Beyond FC is set to play Dakkada, with Warri Wolves squaring up against Crown FC, while Ijele hosts Inter Lagos.
The league’s diversity extends further, with competitive matches lined up in Conferences C and D. Sokoto FC will host Makantaki Care, Zamfara will play Wikki Tourists, and Kebbi United is set to host Sporting Supreme. Additionally, Barau FC will welcome Mighty Jets to Kano.
