All is now set for the premiere of ‘Yahaya the White Lion’ on January 15th in Abuja, the Nigeria capital city.
This was contained in a press statement signed by the the producer of the movie, Seun Oloketuyi which was made a available to newsmen in Lokoja Kogi State Capital on Wednesday .
The prospective award-winning movie which was described as unknotting Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello with a biopic, is scheduled to be premiered at the Transcorp Hilton Abuja.
The movie which was shot in Lokoja and Lagos, featured the popular movie stars, Ali Nuhu, Segun Arinze, Jide Kosoko, Bola Ninolowo, Gbenga Adeyinka, Aishat Lawal and much more.
The producer of the movie, Mr Seun Oloketuyi, while explaining the concept of the movie, said the reason for Yahaya the White Lion, was the true personality of the Kogi state governor.
“We decided to shoot Yahaya the White Lion movie for a lot of reasons. In today’s Nigeria, Governor Yahaya Bello is one of the most talked-about governors, some people hate him with a passion and those who love him, do so to the extreme.
“There are a lot of interesting things that we did research about him, how he became governor. He did not become a governor like other people, his age and the way he has been able to stand against Godfathers in the state… you will agree with me that godfatherism is the major issue in Nigerian politics and his guts to venture into the presidential race is another thing and despite that fact that a lot of people see his presidential ambition as a joke, he has stood his ground to continue doing what he believes in.
“This is one of the reasons we decided to shoot the movie Yahaya the White Lion.”
According to Oloketuyi, he had produced several movies that are currently trending in the cinemas.
“We’ve done about five movies in the last five years, we’ve even taken our movie to the cinema successfully, some of which are ‘Bloggers Wife,’ ‘Wetin Women Want’ and a host of others,” he added.
