Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, the leader of the minority caucus in the Nigerian Senate is accusing the federal government of following a pattern that tends to ignore the killings and abductions in other parts of the country but applies enormous force to douse crisis and violence in the southeast.
Mr Abaribe stated this on Thursday when he featured on an ARISE News programme, The Morning Show and queried the response President Muhammadu Buhari gave to the crisis in the region when he threatened to visit on people depredations of the civil war.
According to the Senate minority leader, President Buhari’s reaction to the violence and agitation in the southeast was an uncalculated response.
