Ondo State Governor and spokesperson for Nigeria’s Southern Governors Forum, Rotimi Akeredolu says getting a presidential buy-in to convene a national dialogue might be some cause for concern.
The seventeen governors of the country’s southern states had on Tuesday after a meeting in Asaba, the Delta state capital, called on President Muhammadu Buhari to as a matter of urgency convoke a national dialogue.
Convening a national dialogue the governors say, will help address the several agitations from citizens in different regions of the country.
Mr Akeredolu however told ARISE News that it will be almost difficult for the Nigerian leader to ignore resolutions reached by seventeen governors of the West African country.
He said the resolutions reached must be considered.
