The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says some of the destroyed sensitive and non-sensitive electoral materials will take between six months to one year to get them replaced.

Festus Okoye, INEC National Commissioner for Information and Voter Education on Thursday said it will take that long to order and get the smartcard readers because they are expensive.

Armed men have in the past two months attacked more than twenty state and regional offices of the commission and in the same manner, burning the buildings in the process.

He stated this when he featured on an ARISE News programme, The Morning Show.
