Nigeria Decides: Rivers Returning Officer for Presidential Elections Adjourns Collation of Results

Returning officer for Rivers State Presidential Elections,  Teddy  Charles Adia has adjourned the Collation of the Presidential Result of Rivers State for alleged threat of life.

Professor Adia who is the Vice Chancellor of Federal University Otuoke says he has received several calls and text messages from the Public threatening to deal with him for alleged compromise.

He said until the issues on the threat to his life are addressed he will not continue.

He called on all the security agencies to help protect his life. 

However the Commissioner of Police  in Charge of the Presidential Elections, CP Aderemi  Adeoye condemned the threat to the life of the Returning officer.

You will recall that results for twentyvone out of twenty-three Local Government have been announced.
