With an astronomical increase in military flights relative to previous years, due to the war being waged against insurgency, there may be more air accidents involving the Nigerian military, according to retired Air Commodore Abayomi Balogun.
Balogun, who appeared on ARISE News on Monday, also said results of investigations into the crashes will be kept secret because if they are made public, “the enemies will take advantage of them.”
His comments come a few days after Nigeria’s Chief of Army Staff Lt General Ibrahim Attahiru died alongside three generals and seven others in a plane crash in Kaduna State.
