The Court of Appeal in Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital, has ordered all parties in the appeal challenging the judgment of a Federal High Court in Rivers State empowering the Rivers State government to collect Value Added Tax to maintain status quo and refrain from taking any action that would give effect to the judgement of the federal high court pending the hearing and determination of the appeal.
The court also ruled that the motion of joinder by the Lagos State Government, be heard.
The applicants have been given two days to file their written addresses, the respondents have two days to reply while the applicant was given one day to reply on point of law.
