The Governor made this known via his Twitter handle on Monday.
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary Mary Noel-Berje, the Governor was quoted to have said “his sample was taken for test, and unfortunately returned positive.”
The Governor said he has immediately gone into self isolation and has commenced treatment.
“We however solicite prayers from all and sundry for his quick recovery even as he is asymptomatic to the virus and advised the people to always observe all the COVID-19 protocols in their dealings,” the governor said.
