Niger Crisis: Tinubu Meets With ECOWAS Delegation

President Bola Tinubu is about now meeting with the some critical stakeholders in the ECOWAS intervention in the crisis as part of efforts to resolve the political crisis in Niger Republic. 

Attending the meeting holding at the State House, Abuja, with President Tinubu who

 is the Chairman of the Authority of the Heads of State and Government of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) are the President of the ECOWAS Commission, Dr Omar Touray; leader of the ECOWAS delegation to Niger Republic’s military junta, General Abdulsalami Abubakar and the National Security Adviser (NSA) to the President, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu.

Though there was no brief to the media on the agenda for the meeting, a source, however, revealed that the meeting may have been called to avert armed conflict over the lingering political  crisis in Niger Republic.
