New Minimum Wage: Shettima Inaugurates 37-man Tripartite Committee 

He urged committee members to promptly reach a resolution and submit their reports.

Vice President Kashim Shettima on Tuesday inaugurated a 37-man Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage headed by former Head of Federal Civil Service, Alhaji Bukar Goni.

The inauguration which took place at the Council Chamber in the State House, Abuja, had in attendance representatives of federal and state governments, the private sector, and organized Labour.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Shettima urged collective bargaining in good faith, emphasizing contract adherence and encouraging consultations outside the committee. 

He further urged committee members to promptly reach a resolution and submit their reports.

The tripartite Committee is tasked with the responsibility of proposing a new national minimum wage for Nigerian workers.
