Founded May 16, 2001, and with commercial operations which started August 8, 2001, MTN ventured into the Nigerian market at a time when other foreign operators were afraid to enter the fray, considering the perceived risk factors then.
This month, the telecom company celebrates 20 years of making a difference in Nigeria with over 70 million subscribers, and still counting.
