The Nigeria Police have confirmed that Lagos socialite, Balogun Olamilekan Eletu, popularly known as Sam Larry, is in their custody.
According to a tweet put out by the Lagos State Police Public Relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, on Thursday, it was stated that he is currently assisting with the ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of 27-year-old singer, Promise Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, a.k.a Mohbad.
According to reports, Sam Larry was apprehended at the Lagos airport upon his return to Nigeria over allegations suggesting his involvement in Mohbad’s death.
Sam Larry, who is said to be an ally of Afrobeats artiste Naira Marley, came under fire after videos of he and some people harassing Mohbad surfaced on social media.
Mohbad died on September 12, leaving behind a son.
