The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Akwa Ibom state have a crisis on their hands, as the Independent National Electoral Commission has indicated that the primary rerun conducted in the state, is not recognized by the commission.
INEC confirmed that the APC primary which produced Akanimo Udofia as a governorship candidate, and that of senate candidate Godswill Akpabio was not monitored by the electoral body.

Reacting to this development, The South-south zonal organizing secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Blessing Agbomhere, has demanded for the resignation or outright sack of the Akwa Ibom State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Mr Mike Igini, over the role he played in the controversy rocking the APC governorship and senatorial primaries in the state.
