Many Feared Dead As Three-Storey School Building Collapses In Jos

In a tragic incident, a three-storey building belonging to Saints Academy has collapsed in Jos, the Plateau State capital, with many students feared dead and others trapped.

The collapse occurred around 10:30 am this morning while the students were sitting their examinations.

Arise News crew on the scene reported seeing a combined team of the armed forces, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), and their state counterparts engaged in rescue efforts.

Rescue operations are ongoing as emergency services work to save those trapped under the rubble. Further details on the number of casualties and the cause of the collapse are awaited.
