Man United Club Shop Runs out of No. 7s as Fans Queue for Ronaldo Shirts Despite Star Pushing for Exit

His popularity remains sky-high, with fans queueing to get his name on the back of their replica jerseys.

Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Manchester Monday night and was pictured arriving at Carrington this morning.

He drove into the training ground alongside agent Jorge Mendes to sit down for crunch negotiations with Erik ten Hag, Richard Arnold and even Sir Alex Ferguson.

However, six miles away at Old Trafford, his popularity remains sky-high, with fans queueing to get his name on the back of their replica jerseys.

So much so that the megastore used up all their No. 7s to go on the back.

The Manchester Evening News reported one young kid even asked his dad to get “Siiiu 7” for his kit – in reference to the famous Ronaldo celebration.

And it’s also bad news for any big Fred, Alex Telles or Shola Shoretire fans who won’t be able to get their heroes’ 17, 27 or 47 shirts, either.

Ronaldo, 37, touched down in his private jet on Monday night after missing the pre-season tour to Thailand and Australia due to “family reasons”.

There were suggestions Ronaldo could be shipped out on loan with Atletico Madrid and Sporting Lisbon both linked – as long as he agreed to extend his Red Devils contract.

As revealed by SunSport, though, the forward wants out immediately and will demand he is allowed to quit the club.

Manchester United have insisted over recent weeks that he is not for sale while Ten Hag has also maintained that the striker is a key part of his plans.

Ronaldo has NEVER played in the Europa League in his glittering career and has no intention to start now.
