Socio-economic activities were paralyzed in the early hours of Wednesday at the Shangisha area of Lagos as residents of Magodo Phase 2 estate protested the invasion of their community by policemen and representatives of the Shangisha Landlords Association earlier on Tuesday.
The policemen had led some agents of the association to mark several houses within the estate in the enforcement of a court judgment secured against the Lagos State Government since 2012 over the dispute on the ownership of the Government Reserved Area Scheme. Movement in and out of the estate was restricted by the residents leaving several people stranded for the better part of the day.
