Pop star Lana Del Rey has reportedly tied the knot with her alligator tour guide boyfriend, Jeremy Dufrene, in a ceremony held in Louisiana, ending weeks of speculation about their relationship. The couple applied for a marriage license in Lafourche Parish, using Del Rey’s legal name, Elizabeth Woodridge Grant.
According to court records, the couple received their marriage license on Monday, and reports suggest they married on Thursday, in Des Allemandes, near where Dufrene operates boat tours. People magazine reported that both the ceremony and reception took place in the bayou where Dufrene runs his swamp boat tours.
The couple first met in 2019 when Del Rey posted about her experience on one of Dufrene’s tours, playfully asking him to let her captain the boat. “Jeremy lemme be captain at Arthur’s Air Boat Tours x,” she wrote on her Facebook page. They were spotted together this summer at the Reading and Leeds festivals, where Del Rey headlined.
Del Rey, 39, rose to fame in 2011 with her self-titled debut album, featuring the hit single “Video Games.” She has since released nine albums, with her latest, “Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd,” receiving critical acclaim and a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year.
Dufrene, previously employed at a chemical plant, found his passion for wildlife and tourism after obtaining his captain’s license, as noted on the website of Arthur’s Air Boat Tours. Friends and fans are eager to see how this new chapter unfolds for the enigmatic singer.
