Lai Mohammed Chides U.S. Govt Over Terror Threat – Trending With Ojy Okpe

Following terror alerts issued by the United States government indicating possible attacks in the Federal capital territory Abuja, especially aimed at government buildings, places of worship and schools, among other targets, the U.S. government on Wednesday issued another terror alert to its citizens this time in South Africa.

Meanwhile, the minister of Information and Culture Lai Mohammed has insisted that the Federal Government won’t be stampeded by the terror advisories released by the governments of the United States and the United Kingdom.

In another development, as Nigeria continues to experience damaging floods in several states the federal government on Wednesday announced that the reoccurring flood incidents can only be curtailed with consistent investments that could span 30 years. In the meantime, the Minister of Works and Housing Babatunde Fashola said flood victims ignored warnings to evacuate, and described the flooding crisis as a human issue.

Finally, the the Governor of Akwa Ibom state Udom Emmanuel became the first governor to visit the flood ravaged Bayelsa state and made a sympathy donation of N100 million Naira.
