Kwankwaso: APC, PDP Have Failed, Nigerians Should Reject Them with Their Votes

The presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Senator  Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, yesterday said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are failed political parties, saying Nigerians must reject them with their votes.

The former governor of Kano State said this on Tuesday, while addressing thousands of supporters of the party at the South West flag off campaign of the party held at the Obafemi Awolowo Stadium, Oke Ado, Ibadan.

He maintained that it is glaring that the two political parties have nothing to offer the country, insisting that the NNPP remains the party to beat in the next general elections.

He warned that should Nigerians allow the APC and PDP to continue to rule the country only God knows what will happen, cautioning Nigerians not to fall victims of religious and tribal sentiment in this year’s general elections.

The NNPP presidential candidate added that Nigeria has a lot of issues to contend with which require the best of hands to tackle, noting that anyone campaigning on ethnicity and religion will loose the election.

According to him, “Both the APC and PDP cannot offer Nigeria anything again as they  are having issues including personality issues. Let’s go and do the right thing by using our votes to send them away during the forthcoming elections. Indeed, Nigeria as a country deserves much better leaders unlike what we are presently having under the ruling APC and the opposition PDP.”

The gubernatorial candidate of the party in Oyo State, Engineer Olukayode Popoola, in his remarks, said the party has the best agenda to move the state forward, stating that the present ruling party in the state, PDP has continued to make life difficult for the people.

“There is no doubt that the performance of the present government in Oyo state till date is not the best for the people and another four years would be disastrous and anti-development. I know that the people are eager to send the government away with their votes”, he said.

The flags of the party were presented to the gubernatorial candidates, senatorial candidates and other candidates from the South West zone at the event.
