Kogi State Governor Mourns Passing of ‘Reservoir Of Knowledge’ Hajia Dada Yar’Adua, Pays Tribute to Her Legacy

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Yar’Adua family and the Government of Katsina State following the passing of Hajia Dada Yar’Adua, the revered matriarch of the Yar’Adua family, who passed away at the age of 102.

In a statement signed by the Governor, he described the late Hajia Dada as a “woman of history and a reservoir of knowledge,” highlighting her pivotal role in raising significant figures who have contributed to Nigeria’s progress, including the late former President Umar Musa Yar’Adua.

Ododo reflected on the loss, stating, “It is with mixed feelings that I send my condolences to the Yar’Adua family and the entire people of Katsina State over the demise of Hajia Dada Yar’Adua, a woman of history who birthed great Nigerians who defended the nation and worked for her greatness, including the late former President Umar Musa Yar’Adua. She is a goddess that will be irreplaceable.”

He further lauded her industrious nature, wisdom, and the disciplinary principles that moulded influential figures in Nigeria. The Governor emphasised that her death serves as a poignant reminder of the greatness she embodied and the values she upheld.

“Her demise has reminded us of the greatness she embodied, the principles she held dear and her life of love, tolerance, and unmatched affection for all that came her way,” he added.

On behalf of his family and the people of Kogi State, Governor Ododo expressed his deep sorrow over the national loss and called for the late matriarch to be immortalised by upholding the unity of Nigeria, a principle she instilled in her children.
