Reality TV star Khloe Kardashian has revealed she had coronavirus earlier this year. Speaking on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” the star said she “felt really, really sick” with her symptoms in March and went into quarantine in her room for 16 days.
“Being taken away from your child for that long” was the hardest part, she said. “That was the most heart-wrenching thing,” she added.
And in a sneak peek clip of her show, ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’, the bedridden star detailed her experience with the virus.
“Just found out that I do have corona,” she said in the teaser of the episode, which was filmed months ago. A teaser in September showed Kardashian being tested for the virus.
“I have been in my room,” she continued. “It’s gonna be fine, but it was really bad for a couple days.”
Khloe also spoke about her sister Kim’s recent 40th birthday celebrations which drew hefty criticism for partying with a large group during a pandemic.
“Nobody knew where they were going,” recalled the star. “We knew it was somewhere tropical and we were told what to pack.
“This is a frustrating year and I get it,” she said. “But also it was her 40th and it’s something that she really wanted to do for us.
“And being there with all the precautions we took and from the tourist aspect of it. So many people said we were their first party of guests that they’d had in months and what it’s done for them to be able to pay their bills.”
“And we did it in the safest possible way we could,” Khloe added.
The star joins a long list of celebrities globally who have tested positive for the virus since the beginning of the year.
