Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign have once again delayed the release of their highly anticipated joint album, leaving fans in suspense. The duo had initially planned a grand listening event for their collaborative project later this week, but sources indicate that the event has been cancelled without providing specific reasons for the abrupt change in plans.
Last month, Ty Dolla $ign generated buzz among fans by clearing his Instagram page and posting a cryptic teaser for the upcoming album. The post included an image with the text: “¥$ multi-stadium listening event November 3rd.” However, as the anticipated date approached, Billboard reported on Wednesday, November 1, that the joint album launch and the associated listening event would not proceed as scheduled.
This marks the second time the artists have postponed the album’s rollout. Initially, they had planned a massive concert in Italy at the RCF Arena in Reggio Emilia, with an audience of over 100,000 fans at the end of October. Unfortunately, the concert was cancelled, reportedly due to unforeseen challenges.
Additionally, it has been revealed that West and Ty Dolla $ign are currently seeking a distribution partner for their material, as some label leaders have hesitated to collaborate due to West’s controversial comments from the past year.
In response to these developments, rapper Rick Ross has expressed interest in signing Kanye West to Maybach Music Group and releasing the joint album with Ty Dolla $ign under his imprint. The collaboration between West and Ty Dolla $ign has been highly anticipated since the Yeezy boss first mentioned the possibility of working on a complete project with Ty Dolla $ign during an interview with Power 106 in 2018. West praised Ty Dolla $ign’s artistry, stating, “Ty is one of the strongest artists that we have living, and anything I can do to support, get around, produce, take my hands, chop up, everything, I’m with it.”
As fans eagerly await further updates, the fate of the joint album and its eventual release date remain uncertain, leaving the music world in anticipation of the collaboration between these two acclaimed artists.
