Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State has nominated Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso, the son of the former New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) Presidential candidate, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, among three others sent to the State Assembly for confirmation as Commissioners.
The Speaker of the Kano State House of Assembly, Jibril Falgore who confirmed the nomination at the preliminary on Tuesday, said the screening of the Commissioner nominees would begin early next week.
Mustapha Rabiu Kwankwaso, the son of the former Governor was among the three other nominees who made the list submitted to the state Assembly on Tuesday.
Others on the list include Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, Usman Shehu Aliyu, and Abduljabbar Garko.
It could be recalled, that Governor Yusuf warned all the commissioners that their appointments were based on six months probation “I am reminding you that your appointment is on probation of six months period after a monitoring and evaluation team under my headship will be monitoring the performances of the Ministries”
He promised to reward the best-performing Commissioners, while those who underperformed would be pulled out of his government.
