Kano Expresses Worry as Protesters Wave Russian Flags

Kano State Government has expressed dissatisfaction as hundreds of protesters contenue to fly Russian flags during #EndBadGovernance protests in the state.

In a press conference on Monday in Kano, Sanusi Bature, the spokesman of the state Governor, accused opposition party in the for sponsoeing the act.

” I have make a clarification here Kano state government has no affiliation with any protesters carrying Russian flags or any protester in any disguise”

“The genuine protesters had submitted their grievances on the first day of the protest, which the governor promised to forward to President Bola Tinubu in Abuja.”

He said that the State Government has announced the establishment of a committee of inquiry to investigate the senseless killings and looting of public buildings that occurred during the protests.

The committee main objective was to determine the root causes of the violence that lead to the killings and destruction, and identify those responsible behind the acts.

He emphasized that the protesters seen carrying Russian flags were not affiliated with the government.

Meanwhile, thausands protesters on Monday took to the Kano streets in continuation of the ongoing nationwide protest against hunger and end bad governance.

coming few hours after President Bola Tinubu in a nationwide broadcast told the youths that he heard them loud and clear and the protest should be suspended.

The protest come on the heels of the ongoing 24-Curfew that was relaxed by six hours from (8am to 2pm) daily, to allow the residents to buy food items.

The demonstrators mostly youths waving Russian flags were seen along, Zaria, Hadejia road, city center, court road among others.

Most of them were calling for the to return to Russian ideologies, and dump Us, International monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank, which they blamed for the woes of Nigerians.
