Harry Kane has spoken of his developing relationship with Jose Mourinho as he targets silverware with both club and country in 2021.
Tottenham currently sits just one point behind the league leaders in the Premier League table with Kane having enjoyed a strong start to the season alongside Son Heung-min.
The pair having netted 15 goals between them in the league this season leading to suggestions that Spurs could be serious contenders for the championship with Mourinho at the helm.
“It’s been great to have him at the training ground on the training field and just learning (from him) and seeing how he goes about his business,’ Kane said.
He added that; “seeing how he deals with different situations and problems. That’s all been great to learn. I’ve said it before, I think he saw in my game that I like to drop deep so he made it clear to the others like Sonny (Son Heung-min) and Stevie (Bergwijn) and (Gareth) Bale and (Eric) Lamela and Lucas (Moura)…all these players (know) that if I do drop deep they need to be the ones running behind.
“I think that’s been the real difference. It’s allowed me to create space and get the ball but have the option going forward as well. He’s been great and I look forward to the months ahead and (we’re) getting on really well.”
It could prove to be a very fruitful 2021 for Kane with England too as they target their first major silverware at the delayed Euro 2020 next summer with the added incentive of the final taking place at Wembley Stadium.
