Kaduna Police Disperse Protesters Blocking Roads to Government House

Kaduna police have dispersed protesters blocking roads to the Government House with teargas after the demonstration turned violent.

Operatives of the Kaduna State Police Command have dispersed a group of protesters who attempted to block major roads leading to the Government House.

The demonstrators, rallying under slogans such as “End Fuel Subsidy Now” and “End Bad Governance,” began their protest at the NEPA roundabout before marching towards the Government House.

Initially, the protest was peaceful, with participants chanting solidarity songs and displaying placards. However, the situation escalated when protesters began burning tires and throwing stones, trying to force their way into the Government House.

In response to the increasingly volatile situation, security forces deployed teargas to disperse the crowd. Despite the use of teargas, the protesters remained defiant, continuing their demonstration in various parts of the city.
