Joe Keshi in Trump: ‘Many Days For The Thief, One Day For The Owner’

Nigeria’s former Ambassador to the US shared his take on the charges against former US President Donald Trump.

Former Nigerian Diplomat, Joe Keshi, shared his views on the political situation in the United States concerning the charges against Donald Trump, Former American President as well as his recent arraignment by officials of the law.

Joe Keshi pointed out angles he believes the Nigerian system as well as its leaders need to take away from the state of affairs in order to run the nation effectively. He expressed this in an interview with ARISE NEWS on Tuesday.

According to Keshi, “Nobody is above the law. As the saying goes, it is many days for the thief, but one day for the owner of the house. These cases against Trump were a long time coming and they will surely be put against him.”

The diplomat called on the Nigerian Executive System, specifically the Police units, EFCC and DSS, to pay rapt attention to the processes and level of skill the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) put into probing details surrounding the various controversies around the Trump cases.

Keshi stated that agencies in Nigeria have “lost their mandate” accusing them of lacking the drive and dedication to carry out basic duties within the nation let alone through execution of nation investigations. He further stated, “If they can’t even do the simple thing of arresting taxi drives and resident drivers, can they even investigate the president? Certainly, no.”

Ambassador Keshi also mentioned a need to take note on the handling of legal matters  in a “civil” manner from both judiciary and the media.

Former President Trump, is being arraigned in New York and will be facing the court on charges of “hush money” paid to an ex-adult film star he had relations with during his campaign year in 2016.
