The rejection of any type of alleged consensus governorship aspirant arrangement in the All Progressives Congress of Rivers State, ahead of the 2023 polls is gathering momentum.
Aside from Senator Magnus Abe, who earlier kicked against any form of arrangement, another All Progressives Congress governorship hopeful in Rivers State, Honourable, Bernard Mikko, also argued that for any consensus arrangement to happen, it would be fair and just for Ogoni people to produce the consensus candidate and succeed Governor Nyesom Wike after his tenure on May 29.
Mikko, a former House of Representatives member, contended that the choice of Cole was in clear breach of rules and procedure of consensus candidate arrangement. He further stated that Celestine Omehia, Rotimi Amaechi and Nyesom Wike are all from the East Senatorial District of the state, while Peter Odili is from the West Senatorial District of rivers state. Therefore, it is ideal, for somebody from the South-East Senatorial District, which is the Ogoni axis to become the next governor of the state in 2023.
Bernard Mikko, a former House of Representatives member and a governorship aspirant, seeking the ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Rivers State is our guest.
