Israeli Military Probes Drone Attack on Tel Aviv That Leaves One Dead Amid Rising Regional Tensions

The Israeli military is investigating an apparent drone attack that struck central Tel Aviv in the early hours of Friday.

According to a statement, an initial inquiry indicated the explosion was caused by the falling of an “aerial target,” prompting an increase in air patrols.

Israeli emergency services reported that the explosion resulted in one fatality and several light injuries. Yemen’s Houthi militants, backed by Iran, announced on social media that they would reveal details about a military operation targeting Tel Aviv.

The incident follows the Israeli military’s confirmation of the killing of a senior Hezbollah commander in southern Lebanon.

Hezbollah and Israel have exchanged fire across the border since Israel’s invasion of the Gaza Strip after the attack by Hamas last October. Both Hezbollah and Hamas claim their actions are in solidarity with the Palestinians.
