Inter Show Title Credentials as Vidal and Barella Score in Win Against Juventus

Inter beat Juventus in Serie A for the first time since 2016, with Vidal and Barella both finding the back of the net en-route to an important 2-0 victory.

The hosts were in the ascendancy from the outset, with the early goal only adding to their confidence.

An organised midfield and defence confounded the Juventus strikers, who were unable to work any openings of note despite Ronaldo and Morata playing for the full 90 minutes.

Handanovic was never put under serious danger, while Inter were allowed to attack almost freely from the counter, exemplified most in the Nerazzurri’s rapid second goal.

The disappointing evening for Pirlo’s side sees them stay fifth, while Inter’s win puts them joint-top with Milan ahead of their match on Monday.
