Inside the Drill Ranch – ARISE Go Wild

In 1991, two American conservationists, Liza Gadsby and Peter Jenkins, founded the Drill Rehabilitation and Breeding Centre in Cross River State. For the past thirty years, the project has rescued several drill monkeys and chimpanzees from the illegal wildlife trade and provided a safe protected area for the primates to live and breed in. The Non-Governmental Organization running the project, Pandrillus, states that the drill ranch is the most successful captive breeding program in the world for an endangered primate.

In this final episode of the first season of Go Wild, ARISE Environmental Correspondent Laila Johnson-Salami, visits the drill ranch to learn more about the project and efforts to protect some of the worlds most endangered animals.
