Ilebaye Wins Big Brother Naija All Stars, Bello Hails Her

After 72 days of intense competition in the Big Brother Naija reality television show Season 8 tagged ‘Big Brother Naija All Star’, Ilebaye Precious Odiniya has emerged as the winner of the show.

The Nigerian criminologist, entrepreneur and fashion model emerged after a gruelling, compelling, suspenseful and enthralling 72 days in the Big Brother House.

She also went home with a N120 million cash prize, among other mouthwatering prizes.

Out of 24 that started thd competition, it came down to six finalists; Cross, Mercy Eke, Adekunle, Pere, CeeC and Ilebaye were the finalists.

This was later reduced to three finalists; CeeC, Mercy and Ilebaye, the first time in the history of Big Brother Naija where the top three are of the same gender.

30-year-old Cynthia Nwadiora, known as Ceec, was next to be evicted in the night, leaving Mercy Eke and Ilebaye as the top two.

Among the six finalists, Ilebaye was the only one who had never been a finalist. She was the third housemate to be evicted from Season 7 of the reality TV show.

Ilebaye was born in 2001 in Lokoja, Kogi State, and hails from the Igala tribe.

GOVERNOR BELLO CONGRATULATES ILEBAYE ON BBNAIJA ALL-STARS WIN

Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, extended his congratulations to the winner, a graduate of Salem University, Lokoja, describing her as a true trendsetter.

“I am delighted to congratulate one of our own in Kogi State, Ilebaye Odiniya, for emerging as the winner of the Big Brother Naija Allstars Season reality television show.

“Ilebaye, you are a trendsetter who has excelled in both academic and social spheres, and this victory is a testament to your brilliance, intellect, and maturity.

“Your determination, resilience, and poise set you apart during the three months you spent in the house,” he said.

Governor Bello, while celebrating Ilebaye’s achievement, also commended the outstanding performance of Kogi youth in various academic and social endeavors. He recalled the global recognition received by another Kogi youth, Oluwabukolami Adeyemi, who emerged as the overall best performer in the 2022 Cambridge IGCSE and Cambridge AS Level Examinations, earning her an overseas scholarship for further education.

The governor emphasized that both Ilebaye and Oluwabukolami should serve as beacons of inspiration and motivation to other youths, not only in Kogi but across Nigeria.

Governor Bello reassured the citizens of the state that his administration remains committed to supporting and empowering the youth in their pursuit of legitimate aspirations.

He said, “Our administration will continue to support and empower the youth through various initiatives aimed at fostering inclusion, job creation, and harnessing our natural youthful energy.”

He concluded by acknowledging Ilebaye as the face of a positive revolution in the history of African entertainment, not only for the youth of Kogi but for Nigeria, Africa, and the global community.
