‘I Was Just Like You’: President Buhari Meets Kankara Schoolboys, Tells Them to Stay Strong

Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari has met with the 344 students of Government Science Secondary School, Kankara, in Katsina State, hours after they were released by their abductors, urging them not to dwell on the incident.
ARISE News had reported how armed men at the weekend attacked the school in Kankara and abducted the boys.
Secretary to the Katsina State government Mustapha Inuwa had confirmed to ARISE News that the meeting would take place at the presidential lodge of the Katsina State government house.

When he met with the students Mr. Buhari told them not to dwell on the incident and urged them to stay strong.

The president said that the country is behind the students asking them to focus on their education and make something of themselves in the future.

“I was just like you at one point in my life but I made something of myself and now I am the President of Nigeria. You can achieve the same if you stay focused,” the Nigerian leader told the students.
