A former Statistician-General of the Federation Dr Yemi Kale says he is “very stubborn” in ensuring that accurate data is being published not minding political attacks and involvement.
He was narrating his experience as Nigeria’s statistician-general after ten years at the helm of the National Bureau of Statistics.
Kale spoke to ARISE News on Tuesday and reacted to how he handled politicians in the country handled data released by the agency.
The renowned economist said he never really settled down in the office as he expected he could be sacked at any time. He said that was the price he was prepared to pay for trying to do the job properly.
