It will be of huge concern for Thomas Tuchel and Chelsea as they look to secure a top-four finish before facing Manchester City in the European showpiece.
There didn’t appear to be a clash which cause the injury, instead Kante called for the substitution just after the half-hour mark.
Mateo Kovacic, himself only recently back from injury after being out since April 10, replaced him.
Kante has been in outstanding for the Blues this season, but recently suffered a hamstring injury while on international duty.
He managed 90 minutes on Saturday as Chelsea were beaten for Leicester in the FA Cup Final.
