Federal High Court ilorin on Friday barred journalists from entering the court premises to cover the trial of the immediate past governor of Kwara State, Alhaji AbdulFatah Ahmed.
The development however prompted the police deployed to the court to order the journalists to leave the entire premises of the court.
The police and court Registrar barred journalists from entering the court, saying that they’re acting on orders from above.
Alhaji Ahmed is being arraigned at the court by the Ilorin Zonal Command of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) over alleged N10billion financial mismanagement.
The former governor was brought into the federal high court at Fate road ilorin court by 8:50am for the trial.
Journalists gathered on the street, awaiting the arrival of the judge and the outcome of the trial.
