The Head of Service of the Federation, Didi Walson-Jack, says civil servants in the country will not have working days reduced despite the high cost of fuel and its attendant difficulty for workers to commute to work daily.
The Head of Service however says there are different plans designed to ameliorate the present harsh economy on civil servants and ensure that workers are comfortable and work under an atmosphere that will help them perform optimally.
Walson-Jack said this when she appeared before the House Committee on Public Service at the National Assembly. She said the Federal Government prioritises workers welfare and this is evident in the prompt payment of the consequential salary adjustment which workers are now enjoying.
Chairman of the Committee, Hon. Sani Umar Bala in his opening speech charged the Head of Service on training, capacity building and welfare of workers to achieve optimal performance.
