The Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has dissolved the State Executive Council, with immediate effect.
This comes almost a month after he was inaugurated as the Executive governor of the state, following the death of his principal and former governor of the state, Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN) who died on December 27 after battling with prostate cancer for several months.
This also comes 15 days after the governor assured the people of the state that he’s not in a hurry to rejig State Executive Council (SEC) as being rumoured.
However, a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan and available to Journalists in Akure on Wednesday said all members of the Cabinet are to immediately hand over to the Permanent Secretaries or the most senior administrative officers in their respective offices.
It stressed that, all Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) are also relieved of their duties, with immediate effect.
“All the affected officials are directed to hand over all government properties in their possession. The Governor thanks the affected officials for their services and contributions to the development of the State”, the statement added.
