The President of God’s Kingdom Society, Felix Ekundayo Adedokun, has announced the commencement of the annual feast of tabernacle on the 10th to the 17th of December, 2023.
The God’s Kingdom Society is a Christian body, established in 1934 by St. Gideon Meriodere Urhobo of blessed memory. With headquarters in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria and in so many parts of the country and abroad, they are out for the propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
While speaking in an interview with ARISE NEWS on Wednesday, on the significance of the feast of tabernacle to the Christians, Adedokun said the feast is important for Christians to propagate the gospel of Jesus.
He said “Next week by the grace of God, beginning from the 10th to the 17th of December, we shall be holding a feast called the feast of tabernacles, the feast ordained by God for Christians to celebrate in these last days. The main focus is preaching the word of God, telling the people of what they need to do in order to gain the blessings of God.
“The feast was an instruction or a commandment from God Almighty to the Jews of old. If you read the book of Leviticus chapter 23, from verse 33 to 44, it was stated that they should celebrate the feast and that when they do it and that when they do it, they should remember to serve the lord who has protected them from the land of Egypt to the land of Canaan.
“So, we of the God’s Kingdom Society, are holding tenaciously to the word of God, this commandment of God that we should celebrate this every year. Today, we are calling one and all to join us to celebrate this great feast of the Lord.
“This feast is very important. If we need God to save our country, Nigeria and to save the world, we need to celebrate this great feast as God has said it should be celebrated. It is a feast where we feast on the word of God.
“The fact is that not many pastors or bishops know about the feast of the tabernacle. If they had read their bibles properly and very nicely, they would have known. God ordained this feast for all the people of the world. The founder of our church, by the grace of God, read the bible seriously and understood these facts and he came out to teach the members of the church because it is a commandment of God almighty.”
He also said there will be different panel sessions during the course of the program where different issues will be discussed.
